Nestled between the city of Fairfax and the town of Vienna on Route 123, the natural scenery surrounding the village of Oakton is amazingly beautiful, as there are endless telltale oak trees that dot this rolling countryside neighborhood. 
In addition, many county parks and the WO&D trail offer numerous opportunities for biking or walking in the area.  Oakton is also a wonderful place to live and work, and the schools (both public and private) are top notch.  The nearby Vienna Metro Station offers a welcome gasoline-free alternative to visiting the nation's capital.  Oaktonians also have many other venues to occupy their weekends, including events at the Patriot Center in Fairfax, as well as the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly.

Oakton and its neighboring communities in Fairfax County offer many rewarding experiences for locals and visitors alike.  From youth sports programs to community concerts, the availability of events are endless.  Since we felt a strong need for an information portal for those in and around our neighborhood, the vision for this community website was born.
